VIVIAN MAIER INSPIRED
Vivian Maier Self Portraits and other work-inspired mixed with my own personality and a tiny bit of color.
One of my favorite things about Vivian is that her photographs don't have descriptions. I like the overall mystery she portrays, leaving her audience curious and in wonder, having to look through her photographs to get to know who she was.

WASHING MACHINE

Washing Machine Explanation
I wanted to leave an explanation to this image, since it's symbolism wraps up pretty much how I feel 90% of the time, and is sort of the dominant identity that I try to hide from my peers.
The song lyrics that inspired this image are:
"You can't wake up, this is not a dream. You're part of a machine, you are not a human being" ("Gasoline", Halsey)
Every day I wake up in a loud and overwhelming household, with a list of chores and responsibility, (most I've been told by others are unnecessary and unfair, and are only listed to take advantage of me) along with caring for a sick mother and sister.
The pressure that's put upon me to not cry, to not be upset, to do everything perfectly and to not feel, make me live like I'm in a never ending cycle. I constantly feel as if my body is in "Airplane-mode" having to keep moving and not complain.
My blog here and my photographs are what give me a window of hope, which I want to share with the rest of us who also feel trapped. I want to give others the idea to open a window, hoping one day we'll be brave and strong enough to climb through.
